Story time

Hey everyone!  This week was super good. We had a lot of fun and I have some cool stories to tell!!  We went to a members house in Kalundborg for an eating appointment and while we were there he told us a cool story.  He served his mission in England and when he was there he got a referral and it turned out to be the bass player for Ozzy Osbourne!  He ended up being taught and baptized because he had talked with a member when he was on tour & it made him interested in the church.  He ended up changing his life completely around.  It was a crazy story to hear!  We also had an elders zone conference in Odense so that was fun to see a bunch of the missionaries.

Later in the week we had a lesson with one of our friends this past week and she had a super cool experience after we asked her to pray about the Book of Mormon.  She said that she had prayed about it and as soon as she was done she felt a burning in her fingers, got tired, and went to bed.  She then had a dream about a man dressed in all white who was giving her a couple of options to see her dad (who has passed away) again.  So cool!  I know the church is true and I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves us all!

Have a great week!

Fanny pack and slippers

Halløj everyone!  I hope you all have had a good week.  I'm doing good out here. I've been lucky enough to be teaching more than my other areas and it has been awesome!  I've learned the best way to strengthen your testimony is to bear it.  I challenge you all to bear your testimony in a small way every day whenever you see the opportunity arise.

We had a meeting in Næstved this Sunday with a small branch of 8 people.  I got to talk and bless the sacrament.  The spirit was very strong it was awesome.  Besides that it was super weird hahahah!!!  We had a couple of dudes come who were very different... one would not say hi to anyone and the other one was wearing a fanny pack and slippers. Nothing wrong with that fashion choice, it was just unique.  During the meeting, one of the dudes was rocking back and forth and the other one wouldn't stop talking to anyone that would listen to him.  After the meeting was over, one of them turned around to the lady who's house we had the meeting at and asked her in Danish if she was going to be serving any snacks.  After he heard that she didn't have any snacks, he basically bolted for the door hahahah!! Funny stuff hahah!!  I love Denmark and I am loving the work!  Have a great week!

Lessons!

Hey guys!  Sorry I didn't write last week but I've been doing really good!  We are actually teaching a few people in Slagelse and it's the best!  It's always super cool to introduce people to the Gospel and to help them understand more about our church.  Me & Elder Appleby are doing great!  It's been a fun couple of weeks.  I got to go to Copenhagen last Monday and Tuesday.  It was way good to see the MTC district and to explore Copenhagen a little bit.

My thought for the week is to keep feeding yourself spiritually.  You may not notice the difference in one day if you don't study the scriptures or say your prayers but I promise it will stack up.  Do something every day that will help you grow closer to our Heavenly Father.  God loves you and is always anxious to hear from you!   Have a great week!

Effort

Hey guys! This week was super good!  I got transferred into a new area and it has been awesome.  We have been working hard and having a ton of fun.  The ward is super nice here and we already have a couple eating appointments so that's a bonus!  On Thursday, my original MTC group had to go to Copenhagen to take a test to let us stay in the country for another year so it was good to see all of them.  We all passed so we can stay :)

My spiritual thought this week is on effort.  As I was thinking about it and talking to my dad about it, it hit me that whenever I have been working my hardest is when I'm the happiest.  The Lord rewards effort!!  Sometimes it can be hard to start, but just do it.  No matter the amount of effort, give YOUR best.  The Lord loves you all!  Remember the goodness of God.

Love you all!

Goodbye Nykøbing Falster

Hey everyone!

This week was a good one! I got transferred to an area called Slagelse with another Australian elder, Elder Appleby!  I'll miss Elder Ngatikaura, but I'm excited to serve with Elder Appleby!  Slagelse is the biggest city that I've served in so far.  It'll be my first ward too!  It's a small ward but bigger than a branch so I'll take it.  I'm excited to meet the members and spread the word to more Danish souls.

My spiritual thought this week is about charity :)  Charity is the true love of Christ. That means that it is a perfect love!  I've tried to learn how to have charity on my mission and I'm still learning.  In 1 Nephi 19:9 it talks about how Jesus would be beaten, spit on, and many other things and he took it without hating those people, and then when Jesus was on the cross he loved the people enough to ask the Father to forgive them, for they knew not what they did.  Super powerful.  Christ loves you more than you could ever understand.  Heavenly Father loves you more than you could ever understand.  This week try to be more charitable to each other, and help those in need :)

P.S. shout out to my brother Nick for entering the home MTC!  He is such a stud and a great example. Love you bro!

Viking Burial Ground

Hey everyone! This week was super good. We had splits, district council, and a branch activity.  We got to see a viking burial ground at the activity which was cool and we also ate some good food.  It's been like 90 degrees here which feels like murder because it's humid and there is no air conditioning anywhere hahah!!  It's funny because they have issued a level two weather advisory because Danish folk aren't use to this kind of heat.

My spiritual thought for the week is to study the Atonement and ponder what Christ has done for you.  I can promise you as you do this, the spirit will be present and will testify to you that Christ did atone for the world.  I love you all!!  Have a great week!

Danish Bball

Hey everyone!  Sorry I didn't write last week.  This week has been good :)  It's always fun when you get to serve and help people!

Last week we had the all elders conference and it was so much fun!  We did some work then played a whole bunch of sports and it was awesome.  It was great to see all of my buddies in the mission!

We had a finding activity with my district and it was super fun!  It is always good to be with other missionaries and learn from them.  We also went on splits with other missionaries and that was a great time.

My spiritual thought this week is about faith.  We shared a spiritual thought with a member that was really cool!  We talked about how faith requires action.  A lot of times we think that by just having faith alone that a lot of things will happen.  We need to do our part also :)  God loves you all and Christ loves you too!  Have a great week :)

The mission has set up a Facebook page to share with the Danish people and so we each make a video to post on the page. Here's my video :)

PS: I'm saying... "no matter how many times we make mistakes, we can keep trying because of Jesus Christ. Send us a message if you want to learn more"
