Lots of Copenhagen

Hey everybody! This week was super fun!

We were in Copenhagen on Tuesday and Wednesday and it was fun to be with 2 more elders from my MTC group.  I got to go on splits with a former sister missionary from my grandparents mission on Temple Square.  It was fun to catch up and just to be in Copenhagen!

We had a mission conference and we got to walk around Copenhagen.  It was awesome to be with the other missionaries!  I'm always way more uplifted when I leave them.  I then went on splits with my old trainee, Elder Grabe.  We had a good time! Right as we were about to go to bed I got a call from the APs. They said we need to go help some elders that ran out of gas close to our area 😂  so we got our shoes on, went and got a gas can and drove out to them.  It was hilarious and a fun night hahah!

I loved the video of President Nelson! I know that he is a Prophet of God and he guides our church through direct revelation from God. If you haven't done it yet, take his challenge.  You wont regret it :)  I love you all!  Have a great week!

Back with the OG

Hey everybody!  The last 2 weeks have been great.  This week I got a new companion, my MTC companion Elder Madsen!  It's been super fun to be with him again.  I've enjoyed it.  This week we put our friend Mette on baptismal date!  She answered all of the baptismal questions perfectly and so we are making a goal for the 16th of January.  I also got to go back to my first area (Randers) and see Niels get baptized.  Back in the day, Elder Millett and myself found Niels and taught him his first lessons so it was super awesome to see him get baptized!  I love the gospel and the opportunity to become better each day.  Use the greatest gift ever of the Atonement and enjoy the blessings!!  I love you all...have a great week :)

30 days and double splits

Hey everyone!  This week was a super fun one!!  We had a meeting in the mission called 30 days in, where we go to the mission home with the trainers and trainees and then discuss how the first 30 days have gone and then just hang out!  It was good to be with some other missionaries and President and Sister Olsen and to learn a little bit.  After that, I went straight on splits with Elder Madsen and it was super fun.  We spent some time chasing after some ducks and tryna catch them but we failed hahaha. We'll get em next time, update coming.  I then had splits with Elder Millett and that was great too.

I love the relationships that I've made in Denmark...I'm very grateful for them.  I have seen countless times at eating appointments or whatever it could be, that i really love and care about the people here and in a way i feel like I can see them through Christ's eyes.  I know that Christ lives and loves everyone of us.  Read the scriptures and pray this week it will change your life!  Commit to be better every day :)  I love you all!  Have a great week.

t-boned!

Hey everyone!

This week was crazy so let's get into it!  We had a lesson with our friend Mette and challenged her to stop smoking.  It went well and she also came to church!!  We are going to meet with her this Wednesday and if she decides to stop smoking then she will have taken one step closer to getting baptized!  I got some good news this week.  I found out that a couple that I taught while I was in Randers is getting baptized!  Me and my comp (at the time) were the first ones to teach them so I think we'll be able to attend their baptism.  I'm so happy for Niels & Shelly!

So here's the crazy part of my week...

Friday we were driving to get lunch after our district council meeting and I decided to go with some other elders on the way back. We were driving and we came to an intersection where the elder driving couldn't see into the intersection and so he went for it and we got t-boned! I was sitting on the driver's side back seat where we got hit and the airbags went off haha it felt like a huge football hit.  Don't worry tho I'm fine!  We went to the hospital later that night and I have a concussion (not too serious) but I've been resting and I feel better.  Anyways it was crazy and we are lucky that we weren't injured more!.  Don't take any day for granted 🙂

God loves you all and so do I!  Have a great week!

Danish 24/7

Hey everyone!

This week was a good one!!  We had mission conference and it was so good to see everyone.  I love all the people in the mission...they are great.  We have been doing a lot of finding lately and been speaking danish 24/7 which is way fun hahah!!  My new companion doesn't speak very much English so it's safe to say that my Danish is getting better and better.  I definitely get huge headaches but it's worth it!  This week we went down to Næstved branch and I gave a talk again.  It is always hilarious there because something goes wrong each time.  We were singing a hymn and the electric piano kept turning off and the pianist was basically hitting it each time it turned off.  haha!

Remember that your heavenly father loves you all and knows you!  Have a great week!

Let God prevail

Hey everyone!  This week was good.  I got a new companion last Monday.  His name is Elder Grabe.  He is from Esbjerg, Denmark and he's a nice dude.  He did home MTC for 3 weeks and then was ready to get out into the field.  I drove with another missionary to Elder Grabe's home (a 3 hour drive...one way), where we had lunch with his family and then I was the lucky one to take him away.  Ha ha.  It was actually pretty rough to watch his parents be so sad as we loaded up his luggage and drove off.  We then drove to the mission home in Copenhagen where we had dinner with President and Sister Olsen and the one other new missionary and his companion.  It was a good but long day once we made it back to Slagelse and got him settled in our apartment.   But, we have been working super hard and we're each learning new things being together.

On Thursday, I was able to help out with a baptism of an 8 year old boy in our ward so that was a cool experience.  Then we got to watch general conference with one of our friends this weekend!  She was super happy to listen to it and enjoyed it a ton.  I especially enjoyed President Nelson's talk about letting God prevail in our lives!  Sometimes it's easy to get caught up with things that don't matter in our lives.  I'm so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who sent his Son to Earth and that he has given us a prophet on the Earth today!  Hope you guys all have a great week and remember to let God prevail!

Story time

Hey everyone!  This week was super good. We had a lot of fun and I have some cool stories to tell!!  We went to a members house in Kalundborg for an eating appointment and while we were there he told us a cool story.  He served his mission in England and when he was there he got a referral and it turned out to be the bass player for Ozzy Osbourne!  He ended up being taught and baptized because he had talked with a member when he was on tour & it made him interested in the church.  He ended up changing his life completely around.  It was a crazy story to hear!  We also had an elders zone conference in Odense so that was fun to see a bunch of the missionaries.

Later in the week we had a lesson with one of our friends this past week and she had a super cool experience after we asked her to pray about the Book of Mormon.  She said that she had prayed about it and as soon as she was done she felt a burning in her fingers, got tired, and went to bed.  She then had a dream about a man dressed in all white who was giving her a couple of options to see her dad (who has passed away) again.  So cool!  I know the church is true and I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves us all!

Have a great week!
